Frequently asked questions
Who is this module designed for?
The Just a Bitch Spay module is designed for veterinary students in clinical training, early-career veterinarians, and practicing clinicians who want structured, evidence-based guidance to strengthen surgical understanding and decision-making.
The module is also suitable for universities, veterinary organisations, and clinical teams seeking a
structured resource to support surgical training and standardisation.
Is this a replacement for supervised surgical training?
No. The module is designed to support and enhance supervised clinical training, not replace it. It provides structured understanding and decision-making guidance alongside hands-on experience.
Is the module suitable for experienced veterinarians?
Yes. Experienced clinicians may use the module to deepen surgical knowledge, strengthen procedural reasoning, and further refine decision-making within routine surgery.
Does the module cover complication prevention?
Yes. A central focus of the module is reducing preventable complications through structured procedural staging, risk awareness, and practical surgical decision-making.
Is the content evidence-based?
Yes. The module integrates current evidence, clinical experience, and best-practice principles aligned with animal welfare and responsible antimicrobial use.
How long does the module take to complete?
The Just a Bitch Spay module is self-paced and organised into structured chapters. Most learners complete it over several focused sessions and may revisit chapters as needed.
How long do I have access?
Enrolment provides annual access to the Just a Bitch Spay module, including updates and additional material released within this module during the subscription period. Access does not include other BradyCare modules developed separately.

Your annual access includes:
- Full access to the Just a Bitch Spay module
- Interactive learning checkpoints

- A €30 Friends of BradyCare membership supporting global welfare training
Why is €30 allocated to Friends of BradyCare?
The first €30 of the annual fee supports Friends of BradyCare, helping provide structured surgical
training to NGOs and animal welfare partners working with street and free-roaming animal
populations in regions with limited access to training resources.
Is BradyCare a charity or a business?
BradyCare is a registered non-profit charity based in Denmark. Its educational modules support the organisation’s mission to improve animal welfare worldwide through accessible veterinary education.
Income generated through module participation contributes to the development of educational resources and enables BradyCare to provide supported or subsidised training access to animal welfare organisations and NGOs.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. A certificate of completion is issued after successful completion of the module review with a pass rate of 80%.
Can universities or organisations purchase access?
Yes. Tailored access plans are available for universities, veterinary organisations, and clinical teams. Please contact us to discuss group access and integration options.
Do you offer access for NGOs or animal welfare organisations?
Yes. BradyCare works with NGOs and welfare partners to provide subsidised or supported access where appropriate. Please contact us to discuss partnership options.
Is the module accessible for non-native English speakers?
Yes. The module is delivered in clear, structured English designed for a global audience, with subtitles and supportive learning formats where available.
Can I revisit chapters after completing them?
Yes. During the annual access period, module chapters can be revisited at any time.
How are BradyCare modules different from other online surgical courses?
BradyCare modules focus on structured learning and surgical reasoning to support consistent surgical decision-making and complication prevention, rather than demonstration of technique without reasoning.
